| About Us Marine Corps Community Services provides Quality of Life programs for Marines, Sailors and families stationed at Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island. These programs and activities are designed to support basic life needs and promote the physical, financial, mental and emotional well being of all active duty and retired Marines, Sailors and their families. More than one hundred programs are provided through five MCCS Divisions: Family Readiness – Provides programs and services to ensure Marines and their families – spouses, children and parents - are successfully equipped to meet the challenges of the military lifestyle. From mentoring to volunteer opportunities to building relationships to preparing for deployments - the family readiness team is there to provide support and help develop skills. Marine & Family Services – Provides programs to prevent or resolve issues before they impact personal, family and unit readiness. Offerings include Counseling Services, New Parent Support, Exceptional Family Member, Personal Financial Management, Family Member Employment Assistance, Transition Assistance, Retired Marine Activities, and Lifelong Learning. Affordable and accessible developmental children, youth and teen programs are also offered. Semper Fit – Provides varied leisure and recreation programs to promote and maintain physical and mental well-being. The Single Marine Program, Youth Sports Programs, Special Events – i.e. Fourth of July – along with Intramural Sports and Equipment Rentals are some of the Divisions’ activities. Retail & Services – Offers a full line of quality goods and services at savings for the convenience of Marines and their families. Operations include the Exchanges, Convenience Stores, Marine Marts, Car Washes, Dry Cleaning/Alterations Shops, Vet Clinic and Travel Services. Dollars spent in these operations are re-invested in the MCCS Quality of Life infrastructure, activities and programs. Food & Hospitality – Operates twelve military clubs, food courts and snack bars, fast food outlets, restaurants, and temporary lodging (overnight) facilities on both bases in addition to providing meals and refreshments for official functions. |
