Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) aboard MCRD Parris Island focuses on the military family lifestyle and its unique challenges. Our programs and services encompass a wide variety of educational and volunteer opportunities that foster personal growth and community involvement. All of our programs are supported at all major installations by Marine Corps Community Services South Carolina (MCCS-SC) through a Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) office staffed with a MCFTB Director, Administrative Assistant, L.I.N.K.S. (Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills) Trainer, LifeSkills Trainer and the Family Readiness Program Trainer.

Family Readiness Program Training (FRPT)

Family Readiness Program Training offers services to assist commands in developing effective readiness programs while helping unit families become self-sufficient. Family Readiness Program Trainers offers training for Command Teams, Family Readiness Officers, Family Readiness Advisors and Family Readiness Assistants on their roles and responsibilities in the Unit, Personal and Family Readiness Program aboard the depot.

Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge, and Skills (L.I.N.K.S.)

L.I.N.K.S. is a volunteer, team-mentoring program, designed by Marine Corps Spouses. The program offers an orientation to the Marine Corps lifestyle, helping spouses, Marines, children and teens, and parents/extended family members understand and adapt to the unique challenges military life often presents. While the curriculum targets those who are new to the Marine Corps community, the information is very beneficial to all levels of the Marine Corps experience. This orientation includes mentorship and small group discussion.

Readiness & Deployment Support (RDST)

Readiness and Deployment Support Training provides knowledge and skills to military personnel and their families in an effort to enhance military life. The ultimate goal is to prepare our military families for the unique challenges of a separation like Recruiting Duty and Drill Instructor Duty and deployments in addition to maintaining a constant state of readiness independent from those previously stated.

LifeSkills Training & Education

LifeSkills Training and Education offers a variety of workshops to facilitate both personal and professional growth. The classes provide skills and education development on many topics including: Relationships (such as parenting and marriage), Communication, Financial Management, and much more.
