||Family Child Care (FCC)
Tel: 843-846-2270 (during business hours)
Family Child Care (FCC) homes offer safe, high quality child care through high standards for quality and well-trained staff in a family/home atmosphere with a small group of children in either government housing or a private home off the installation in the Beaufort area (OFCC). Care can include full day, part day, hourly or extended day care for parents that work non-traditional hours. Each professional FCC provider and their family must undergo a series of background screenings. The FCC provider must complete a comprehensive and extensive initial training, as well as on-going training. This program also provides the spouse of military dependents the opportunity to operate their own business while remaining in their home with their own children. The FCC professional provides much needed quality service to children and families of the military.
Please call Resource & Referral 843-228-7279 or the Family Child Care Director 843-846-2270 for referrals.
|U.S. Marine Corps Family Child Care Program
The United States Marine Corps (USMC) sponsors the Enhanced Extended Child Care Program (EECC) to offer child care to eligible USMC sponsors in qualified emergency situations when they cannot use their regularly scheduled child care program. Qualified emergencies include unexpected duty assignments, family hospitalization, and family emergencies. Eligible sponsors include military families with employed spouses, single parents, and dual military families. Children must be 14 years or under to use the EECC program. EECC is provided in the home of a certified Family Child Care Provider. The USMC pays for the EECC program services, therefore approval from the Family Care Branch Manager is required. If a parent is available to provide care, EECC is not an option.
