We have a checkout center, which rent a wide variety of outdoor recreation equipment on a daily or weekly basis. These centers assist customers in avoiding the expense of buying items they will not use on a regular basis. Items range from indoor and outdoor sports and recreation equipment to fully rigged boats, barbecue grills and camping supplies.

Checkout Regulations:

• Checkout one day, return 1200 next day.
• Reservation may be made in advance with prepayment.
• Credit cards welcome.
• We do not accept telephone reservations.
• Patrons turning in equipment late will be charged the daily rental fee.

To obtain your boating permit you must be an MCCS Boating Permit Cardholder to rent an MCCS boat and do the following:

• View a 70-minute video on boating safety and boat operation, shown daily from 0830-1500.
• Complete and pass our 50-question boating safety test.
• The test may be completed on premises at MCCS Outdoor Recreation.

Renting a Boat:

• You must be an MCCS Boating Permit Cardholder to rent an MCCS boat (see above for obtaining your boating permit).
• Provide proof of insurance for the vehicle used for towing the rental boat.
• Complete a rental application including personal information, names of passengers, and your float plan (destination).
• Clean your rental boat prior to returning it.
• Equipment must be cleaned before returning.
• A cleaning charge will be applied to items returned not clean.
• We also sell South Carolina Hunting and Fishing License.
  

Renting a Camper:

• Provide proof of insurance for the vehicle used for towing the rental camper.
• Complete a rental application including personal information and your destination.
• Clean your rental camper prior to returning it.
• Equipment must be cleaned before returning.
• A cleaning charge is applied to items returned NOT CLEAN.

Recreational Firing
Saturdays 0800-1200. Free Instruction: Trained, professional experts are available for instruction and guidance. Range Safety Officers are on duty. Eye and ear protection equipment is available. $10 range fee includes target and frames. Discounted rates for groups of 5 or more.
