The goal of Health Promotion is to improve the quality of life for the members of our community and enhance readiness through mitigation and elimination of unhealthy lifestyles. The program is designed to educate personnel about health risks, enabling informed decisions about their own health. Health Promotions offers a variety of classes to all patrons. They include nutrition, tobacco cessation, stress and many more.
Health Interest Questionnaire (HIQ)
In an effort to better serve our patrons take the web-based Health Interest Questionnaire (HIQ) survey to help us obtain information and guidance to improve/expand our programs. Provided by the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC). Click Here to take the survey.
Monthly Nutrition Classes
MCAS Beaufort will meet on the third Thursday of each month from 0900 to 1000 in Building 596, Room 203.
MCRD Parris Island will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 1400 to 1500 at the Brig & Brew.
These classes are designed to focus on those on BCP. However, anyone is welcome to attend. Advance registration is necessary due to the limited seating available. We will limit the attendance to 20. Tobacco Cessation Classes:
For active duty: MCAS Branch Medical Clinic every Wednesday from 1130 to 1230, call 843-228-7424 to register.
NHB Classes call 843-228-5344.
For individual classes call Kathy Williams at 843-228-7616.
