Here at Parris Island Fitness center, we are proud to offer a variety of different programs. Some programs are ongoing while others change with the seasons. Please follow us on Facebook or our website to stay informed as to what we are currently offering.
FREE Personal Training
MCRD Fitness center offers personal training free to all authorized patrons. Monday through Friday 0400-1830. After hours and Saturday training is available by request only. Please stop by the MCRD Fitness facility to fill out a request form or use the online form to the left. |MCRD Parris Island Classes
|30 MIN AB BLAST: An advanced 30 minute workout focusing on abdominal and lower back exercises using body weight, stability and medicine balls.
AB ATTACK: An intense workout focusing on abdominal and lower back exercises using a variety of fitness techniques.
CARDIO CRAZE: Come and get ready to sweat with this heart pumping cardio class. It can be tabata, circuit, floor exercises or instructor choice.
CSI: Cardio, strength and isolation. It will get your heart rate up, tone your muscles, and focus on those trouble areas.
HITT: The High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) program for our active duty ONLY is a comprehensive combat-specific strength and conditioning program that is essential to a Marine’s physical development, combat readiness and resiliency.
KETTLE BELL: Tired of boring workout routines? This format offer fast, efficient and total body workouts using Kettlebells incorporated with plyometrics and cardio conditioning.
POWER YOGA: A series of sequences which connect breath with movement. A class for all levels that focuses on endurance and strength, balance and flexibility. A challenging flow of poses that balance your mind and body and increase your core, leg and arm strength.
SPIN: Rev up your cardio routine with the ultimate indoor cycling experience! Climb mountains, race the flats, and sprint to the finish all from your stationary cycle.
TABATA: A very high-intensity workout. A Tabata workout (also called a Tabata sequence) is an interval training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest.
TRX/TRXPRESS: Build true functional strength and improve your flexibility, balance and core stability all at the same time with the Suspension Trainer.
YOGA: Come try the benefits of Yoga. Focused on the center point and breathing with poses flowing from one to another. You will build strength, flexibility, stamina and balance all while reducing stress. All levels Welcome.
ZUMBA®: A dance fusion class of Latin and International style music that creates an exciting and dynamic workout. This may include Hip Hop/Funk and Belly Dance styles to add to the fun. Feel the music!
