Big Break
On June 22nd, 2013 at The Legends, MCRD Parris Island. One-of-a-kind golf competition with four fun and challenging events including the flop wall, closest to the pin, putting competition and the ever popular “break the glass” challenge. Events are tailored to be equal challenges for beginner and regular players.

2013 Submarine Run
On June 26th, 2013 and begins at the Combat Fitness Center, MCRD Parris Island. 2 mile run, 250 meter swim, awards and t-shirts are available for the first 200 with no registration required.

Cardio H20+, Aqua Fit, Aqua Zumba and Deep Water Jogging
Stay fit during the entire Summer of 2013 at the Pools aboard Naval Hospital, Laurel Bay and MCRD Parris Island with these great water programs for full body exercises. These invigorating aquatic workouts focus on cardio and strength while using water resistance. All levels welcome at all classes.

Physical Fitness

Here at Parris Island Fitness center, we are proud to offer a variety of different programs. Some programs are ongoing while others change with the seasons. Please follow us on Facebook or our website to stay informed as to what we are currently offering.

FREE Personal Training

MCRD Fitness center offers personal training free to all authorized patrons. Monday through Friday 0400-1830. After hours and Saturday training is available by request only. Please stop by the MCRD Fitness facility to fill out a request form or use the online form to the left. MCRD Parris Island Classes
Ab Attack An advanced 30 minute workout focusing on abdominal and lower back exercises using body weight, stability and medicine balls.
Bosu Blast From the beginner to the pro, this class has something for everyone. Focusing on strength, cardio, and muscular endurance, the Bosu ball will keep you motivated.
Combat Cycle A 30 minute strength-based ride for your lower body and 30 minutes of hard core abs and power-packed pushups for your upper body.
Flex This 60 minute strength based workout will challenge each of your major muscle groups in 4.5 minute intervals using maximum resistance equipment.
Kettlebell Tired of boring workout routines? This format offer fast, efficient and total body workouts using Kettlebells incorporated with plyometrics and cardio conditioning.
Power Hour A hard and fast high intensity workout that will continue burning calories long after you finally catch your breath. This class will incorporate 30 minutes of Kettlebells, Circuit or a variety of other formats followed by 30 minutes of an invigorating Spin session.
Power Circuit An intense workout that targets all major muscle groups incorporating resistance training, plyometrics, functional fitness and cardio. This class will build strength, stamina and agility through a variety of exercises and equipment.
Spin Rev up your cardio routine with the ultimate indoor cycling experience! Climb mountains, race the flats, and sprint to the finish all from your stationary cycle.
Triple Threat 20 minutes of a cardio format (cycle, hi/lo, sports conditioning), 20 minutes of a strength based workout and 20 minutes of a core pilates stretch.
TRX/TRXpress Build true functional strength and improve your flexibility, balance and core stability all at the same time with the Suspension Trainer.
Unit PT Get ready for your PFT/CFT with a Unit PT. (requests and walk-Ins available) Please see the Fitness Team for info.
Yoga Come try the benefits of Yoga. Yoga focuses on the centerpoint and breathing with poses flowing from one to another. You will build strength, flexibility, stamina and balance all while reducing stress. All levels are welcome.
Zumba A dance fusion class of Latin and International style music that creates an exciting and dynamic workout. This may include Hip Hop/Funk and Belly Dance styles to add to the fun. Feel the music!
